For Maximum Customer Satisfaction and New Markets – ELECTRONICON Becomes OEM Supplier to Hitachi Chemical
Commencing 1st October 2014, ELECTRONICON will supply OEM-branded AC and DC power capacitors to one of Japan’s leading capacitor makers
ELECTRONICON has entered an OEM sales agreement with Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd. regarding the sales of heavy-current, high-voltage film capacitors manufactured by ELECTRONICON under the Hitachi brand in order to round out the product range of Japan’s major capacitor maker by large film capacitors for power electronics. Sales will be initiated focusing on the Japanese market from 1st October of this year and be expanded overseas later on.
Hitachi Chemical manufactures and sells capacitors (aluminum electrolytic capacitors, film capacitors) as one of its energy storage device businesses. In times of a global expansion of demand for large film capacitors in the field of power electronics, the new co-operation will enable Hitachi Chemical to offer a more comprehensive range of capacitors to its domestic and international customers. At the same time, it will help our products to penetrate markets which we have not been able to reach before.
The contract covers our full ranges of single and three phase AC capacitors for voltages up to 35kVac, cylindrical DC capacitors in plastic case for up to 50kVdc, and large custom-tailored box-type capacitors for DC and AC applications in both metal and plastic housing. Though fully supported by ELECTRONICON, the marketing of Gera-made capacitors under the Hitachi brand will run completely independently from our traditional sales channels.
